GNC Scenes One in
the continuing series of “The Image Makers” exhibits In celebration of the first thirty years of the Greenburgh Nature Center, the Westchester Photographic Society will be exhibiting photographs taken by its members at the GNC from 1975 to the present. The exhibit will open on Sunday, July 10, and will run through September 4, 2005. An opening reception will be held July 10, from 2:00 – 4:00pm. Admission to the GNC, which includes the Photography Exhibit is $5.00 for Adults, $4.00 for Seniors (62+) and Students, and $3.00 for Children from 2 – 12 years. Most works on display may be purchased. An expanding collection of representative photographs from past exhibits in "The Image Makers" series may be viewed at at the WPS Public Relations website. The Greenburgh Nature Center is located at 99 Dromore Rd., Scarsdale, NY 10583, which intersects the east side of Central Avenue (Rte. 100), one mile north of Ardsley Road and one mile south of Hartsdale Avenue. The
Westchester Photographic Society is the oldest and largest camera club in
Westchester County. Membership is open to all photography enthusiasts, from
beginners to professionals who work in black and white and color prints, slides,
and digital/computer imaging. WPS meets every Friday evening at 8 PM in the
Technology Building of Westchester Community College in Valhalla, NY -- twelve
months per year, except on school holidays and weather-related closings.
Meetings are wide-ranging and feature programs that include presentations by
experts, workshops, demonstrations, model shoots, member showcases, critiques
and monthly competitions. Club activities also include organized field
trips/photo shoots. |
